Summer @ PFPS

Our Summer 2020 program has been canceled.

Join us at Pope Francis Prep this summer! We offer specialized week-long programs in STEM, Performing Arts and Study Skills that are sure to be an exciting and hands-on learning opportunity for your child.

  • Tuition for the STEM and Performing Arts(Theater) programs are $150.00 each; tuition for Study Skills is $125.00. Lunch is not included.

  • Programs run from 9:00am – 2:00pm for STEM and Performing Arts(Theater), Study Skills runs from 8:30am  – 11:00am.

  • Before care (8:00 am – 9:00 am) & aftercare (2:00 pm – 4:00 pm) available with snacks provided (An additional fee of $15/hr will apply.)

  • Open to the public – all students entering grades 5 through 9 are welcome to attend!

  • Programs are designed and run by caring and committed educators in a vibrant, safe, and stimulating environment at our state-of-the-art facility.

The THEATER Experience (canceled)

Program runs from  July 13 – July 17 

The theater department at Pope Francis Prep is excited to educate and support the next generation of excellence in young performers by offering a Theater Experience.  Under the direction of Mr. John Anziano, Performing Arts Director at Pope Francis Prep, this camp will focus on basic theater training and students will learn basic acting skills, set design, costumes, lighting, sound design and prop design. Students will gain a greater appreciation of live theater and the arts in general by promoting valuable life lessons such as confidence, collaboration, and communication skills. The week will conclude with a short performance by the participants on Friday, July 17 at 1 pm. Participants should bring their own lunch. Refrigeration will be provided.

 

The STEM Experience (canceled)

Program runs from  July 20 – July 24

An exciting and hands-on learning opportunity for children to investigate the world around them. The STEM Experience encourages collaborative problem-solving, creativity and critical thinking through the use of large and small loose parts, age-appropriate technology, various materials, and life science observations. Participants will have the opportunity to experiment with chemical reactions, explore architecture using unconventional building materials, and observe nature up close and personal. If your child loves to create, build, or experiment this experience is for them!

 

Study Skills Program (canceled)

Program runs from  July 27 – July 31

This program will focus on helping students gain tools and knowledge to increase their academic success. Students will discover their personal learning style and will learn how to use this knowledge to make studying more effective and efficient. Note-taking, organizational skills, and study hints and tips will also be taught. A great way to bridge that summer gap in learning!

Register your child below for either of our summer experience programs now through June 5, 2020. Once registered, payment must be made by Tuesday, June 30 to confirm your space in the program.

Accepted methods of payment are:

  • A personal check made out to Pope Francis Preparatory School. Please note “Summer Experience” in the memo. Mail or bring checks to 99 Wendover Road, Springfield, MA 01118.

  • Credit Card payments can be made by calling 833-999-7673 ext. 3201.

Registration is finalized when payment is received. Summer @ Pope Francis Prep reserves the right to cancel any of the camp programs if minimum enrollment is not achieved. Participants will be notified by June 12 if a program is canceled.

 

Cancellation by participants can be made until June 28 with a full refund.  Cancellations made after June 28 will not be eligible for a refund.
